 | Banana Wagon being prepped for Florida | | |
Preparations are underway at the Mark Burch Motorsports shop for the annual trek to Florida. Practice night is Wednesday January 30th with racing Thursday through Saturday January 31st, February 1st and 2nd at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Florida.
Once again 2006 King of the 360’s Terry "T-Mac" McCarl will be handling the driving duties of the 1m Banana Wagon. T-Mac will be fresh off his quest for the 2008 Chili-Bowl in the famed Wilke/PAK midget.
Chief mechanic Marvin “Gardens” Brees has been "wrenching" away in the shop. His work ethic is unmatched by anyone and any success at the track would be hard to come by if not for his efforts.
Support of our team comes from Engler Machine and Tool, Burnett Rock and Landscaping, Morgan Farms, S & S Welding and of course Big Game Tree Stands.
After last year’s disappointing fifth place finish team owner Mark Burch is looking forward to returning to the tricky surface that “is” East Bay. “Last year I just flat out missed the setup” said Burch. “We had one of the best drivers and crews in the paddock, and I let them all down. This year I plan on making it up to them.”
The familiar 1m Banana Wagon will return to East Bay in 2008 with Wolfweld Chassis, Engler/Burch horsepower, Pro Shocks, Weld Wheels, Schoenfeld Headers, Hoosier Tyres, Manton Pushrods, Red Devil Brakes, KSE Steering, Huggins Cams, Harris Decals, Dyers Top Rods, Total Seal Piston Rings and Frankland Rear Ends.
