| | In short.... | | |
Saturday at Knoxville we were on a mission. Just set quick time, win the heat and win the feature was all we needed to do. After qualifying second quick and an absolutely dominating heat race win, disaster struck us once again in the A main. On a night when many competitors and fans were left shaking there heads, we were no different.
The feature got off to two horrendous starts. On the second one Josh Higday got sideways coming off of turn two from his inside row four starting position. Then as Higday made his way down the front stretch he squeezed Chad into the wall. By the time the pair reached turn one Chad had nowhere to go and Higday had made a move to the cushion sending our car into the turn one wall and completely destroying our it. Lucky for Garner and Selvage. Not so lucky for us.
Fortunately Chad was not seriously injured.
We have a lot of work to do to prepare for the rest of the season.
Thanks to everyone who called, sent text messages and emails checking up on Chad.
We can't wait to get back to the track Friday at I-80 and Saturday at Knoxville.
