Inside Line Promotions – SEDALIA, Mo. (Aug. 23, 2016) – Mark Burch Motorsports earned a pair of top-five finishes last weekend during a trio of races in three different states.

The action began last Tuesday when the team and driver Danny Lasoski invaded Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. Lasoski qualified 11th quickest before placing seventh in a heat race, eighth in a qualifier and 11th in the main event.

“The track was muddy and one lane and basically how you started was where you finished,” he said. “There wasn’t much passing at all during the night.”

Mark Burch Motorsports then ventured to Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, on Friday for a Sprint Invaders event. Lasoski maneuvered from seventh to third place in a heat race to miss a spot in the dash by only one position. That lined him up on the outside of the fifth row for the main event.

“We came up through there and they had a late caution,” he said. “I was too hard on the brakes early and we didn’t have brakes from about Lap 10 on. On the caution they cooled down and we got them back. We got third on the last lap.”

Lasoski advanced to a podium finish with the last-lap pass.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at Missouri State Fair Speedway for the High Roller Classic with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Lasoski rallied from fourth to capture a heat race win, which moved him into the feature redraw. Unfortunately, he pulled the second-highest number – seven – during the random draw to start the $15,000-to-win main event on the inside of the fourth row.

“Even if I drew the front row I don’t know if I could have held them off,” he said. “Brian Brown and Josh Baughman were definitely the class of the field. There was no one that could run with them.”

Lasoski posted a fifth-place result, which was the team’s fifth top five of the season.

Mark Burch Motorsports would like to thank everyone who supported the Team Jack Foundation by purchasing a unique t-shirt. All sales of the apparel will go to the Team Jack Foundation. The t-shirts will be available at each race Mark Burch Motorsports contests throughout the season.
